Naturalist Notes

Trekking through the Dunes
For a longer hike try hiking to the top of the Star Dune, the Coral Pink Sand Dunes tallest sand dune.  It is easily accessed from the boardwalk.  Watch for ATV users on the dune.

Moquith Mountains
From the Moquith Mountain the North Rim of the Grand Canyon can be viewed from the Moquith Mountains.  It's a bit of a four-wheel adventure to the trailheads for these two hikes, the South fork Indian and Hell dive Canyon Pictographs, but once there it's an easy hike.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes Motor Vehicles
This area is for the mellow to the adventurous types.  Located right on the main sands of the dunes. There are easy trails and vehicles are allowed out on much of the dunes.  The worm trail is the main attraction for ATV users.
