Roosevelt Point
The Roosevelt Point view point was named after President Roosevelt, who in 1919, declared the land a national park.
Walhalla Overlook
The Walhalla Overlook is a nice view point to see the Unkar Delta of the Colorado River.
Archeology Ranger Talk at the Walhalla Overlook
The archeology ranger talk is held at the Valhalla Overlook where ancient ancestral Pueblo Kiva remains are located there. Nearby is the short hike to an ancient granary. Location: Walhalla Plateau near the Cape Royal parking lot.
Cliff Springs Trail
This trail is a quick one-mile round-trip. Look for a pullout at the Angels Window overlook. It's on the left between Walhalla Point and the Cape Royal parking lot.
Cape Royal
The Cape Royal view point has the best views in the park. The Desert View Watchtower on the South Rim can be seen from this point as well as the Colorado River below.
Cape Final Trail
Begin at the signed trailhead for the Cape Final hike. This is a nice, easy hike through the forest to a view from the rim.
Bright Angel Point
The Bright Angel view point is located behind the North Rim Grand Canyon Lodge. The view is of Roaring Springs Canyon, the Transept and the South Rim.
Point Sublime
Take this four-wheel drive up to one of the best view points in the park.
Tuweep
This is a spectacular, yet primitive area of the Grand Canyon. The road is known for slicing tires. Drive slow to reduce the chances and stock up on supplies. The roads may be impassible if wet.
